The Lynnfield Planning Department is in the early stages of developing a master plan. Receiving consultation from the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (MAPC), the Planning Board is discussing the scope, process, and overall concept of the master plan. At the last Lynnfield Planning Board meeting, committee members said that they had the capacity and bandwidth to lead the project for the town, in collaboration with the Planning Department staff.
The Planning Department also stated that community outreach and engagement will be prioritized in the planning process. After a second consultation session with MAPC, the Planning Board will hold a public meeting to discuss the Master Plan. While the date and time are not yet determined, it should be held between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Updates, including the dates of future public meetings, will be posted on the NSR Blog.
