NSR celebrates the accomplishments of REALTORS® and Community members for their contributions to the industry, community, and housing. Congratulations to our 2026 Award Recipients, thank you for all that you do!
REALTOR® OF THE YEAR
Presented annually, the NSR REALTOR® of the Year award recognizes one REALTOR® for outstanding contribution and participation in activities that promote and advance the industry and community at large over the past eighteen months. Each year the winner’s credentials are forwarded to the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® to be in the running to be named state REALTOR® of the Year, an honor that is recognized at the National REALTORS® convention in November.
Our REALTOR® of the year for 2026 is Tyson Lynch. Read Tyson’s profile below to learn more about his significant contributions to the real estate industry and to our organization.
North Shore REALTORS® (NSR) recognizes Tyson Lynch, The Proper Nest, as the 2026 NSR REALTOR® of the Year. The announcement was made by NSR’s 2025 REALTOR® of the Year Adeline Matton at the NSR Annual Meeting, Awards, & Installation on October 20th.
Our 2026 winner has become one of the breakout leaders not only locally but state-wide and nationally as well.
On the local level they have served as local association president, Board member, committee chair, and more.
On the state level they have served as the Northern Region Vice President, Executive Committee member, strategic planning participant, Board member, committee member, and more.
And on the national level this individual is the first NSR member to ever complete the NAR Leadership Academy while also being a Crystal R investor and a sitting NAR Committee member.
In 2025, they earned their instructor certification and jumped all in on teaching CEs and RPR courses while also taking the time to not only instruct our Orientation course but also chair the committee.
In the midst of all this, our winner has taken on a new role as Broker of Record for Side Inc across all of Massachusetts.

RISING STAR
NSR's Rising Star is given to a member who has been a REALTOR® for less than 30 months, has documented sales, and is active with NSR.
Congratulations to the 2026 recipient Irma Fountain, Keller Williams Realty Evolution!
Irma joined NSR in 2024 and since then they have closed 25 sides with a volume of just under 17 million dollars.
They have been a constant feature of NSR events, especially Game Night and the Annual Meeting while also brining a fresh perspective to the Member Benefits Task Force. Irma put her education first and foremost by earning the ABR Designation.
In her community, she volunteers her time to benefit My Brother’s Table, Mass General Brigham, and Mission of Deeds.

HOME OWNERSHIP ADVOCATE
The Home Ownership Advocate is given to a REALTOR® or community member to recognize the efforts and actions they have taken to promote homeownership in their community.
Congratulations to the 2026 recipient Rachel Person-Candelora, William Raveis Real Estate!
Rachel is a stalwart advocate of housing both in their community and online.
In her the greater Newburyport community, she is a consistent part of the housing conversations in municipal meetings and open discussion forums.
Rachel acts as the Affordable Housing Committee chair for the YWCA of Greater Newburyport where they not only support 120 units of Affordable Housing but also propel the mission of finding housing solutions for the lowest-income households and households who have experienced homelessness.
In pursuit of that very mission, ever since Rachel joined NSR just one year ago, she has diligently worked to make key connections to where NSR may again see the CHAPA approved NSR First Time Homebuyers Class return in 2027!
On the world wide web, she is the cohost of a podcast that discusses local development and zoning. While her style may be blunt, her willingness to take on difficult topics and get individuals of all viewpoints engaged in the housing conversation certainly sets her apart.

OUTSTANDING NSR SERVICE
This award is traditionally presented to a REALTOR® member who demonstrates outstanding committee service and works diligently behind the scenes for the betterment of the members and the Association.
Congratulations to the 2026 recipient Emily Gonzalez, The Proper Nest!
Emily is no stranger to being recognized by NSR. It is for that reason that she was asked to chair the 2026 DEIA Committee as NSR changed how the DEIA Committee Meetings were held.
Last year, the committee tested opening the meetings with a group discussion. An idea that came from the brilliant and wonderful John Swain. This year, the idea was to fully embrace the open discussion and hold an hour long, topic based discussion each quarter. This would not only involve NSR members but also partner organizations from across Massachusetts. Not knowing exactly how that would be received, the association needed an individual who would take on the challenge of spearheading something brand new where success was uncertain.
Emily took on this challenge full force. She gave her time to have pre-meetings, brainstorm topics, mediate the discussion with an open and honest demeanor, and it worked. What started in 2026, and what will hopefully continue for many years to come, would not have been possible if not for Emily's talent, enthusiasm, and leadership.

AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR
This award is given to an affiliate who contributes their knowledge, time, and support to the NSR.
Congratulations to the 2026 recipient Liz Ryan, Rate Inc!
Liz joined NSR in 2022, though she had already been deeply involved in the broader REALTOR® community for many years.
Over her time as a member, she's attended 20 different NSR events. In a majority of those events, she's supported NSR as one of the premiere sponsors including taking over as the exclusive sponsor of the NSR Game Night.
In 2026, Liz served as the first ever chair of the new NSR Affiliate Task Force. She brought to NSR the enthusiasm and drive that she had delivered to building the Affiliate event series at Greater Newburyport REALTORS® for many years.

GOOD NEIGHBOR
The Good Neighbor Award recognizes a REALTOR® for their extraordinary commitment to community service, improving the lives of local residents and making their community a better place to live.
Congratulations to the 2026 recipient Carey Creps, Lamacchia Realty!
Carey is deeply intrenched in her community of Amesbury. She has given many years of service as a volunteer to her local school including 8 years as President of the Amesbury Middle School Parent Advisory Group which resulted in them being presented with the Peter Gray Friend of Education Award.
Carey serves as a committee member for LUNGSTRONG’s Live it Up event in addition to supporting an array of other Amesbury events like Amesbury Days, the Santa Parade, art at The Center, and more.
For the past 10 years she has hosted her own annual charity fundraiser for various local nonprofits. She also acts as an Ambassador for the Lamacchia Cares Foundation.
To all that know her, the defining characteristic is consistent: she will always go out of her way to make a difference.
