Lynn Public Hearing on an Affordable Housing Trust Fund

The Lynn City Council will hold a public hearing on June 14, 2022, at 5:30 PM at City Hall, to discuss an ordinance that would establish an Affordable Housing Trust Fund in the city. The fund would be administered by the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board of Trustees. The composition of the Board of Trustees would be as follows:
Mayor, or a designee, who shall serve as the chair
A representative of the City of Lynn Planning Department as appointed by the mayor
At least three residents of the City of Lynn with experience in the fields of real estate, housing banking, finance, law, architecture, social services or other areas applicable to the purpose and goals of the trust
At least two residential tenants in the City of Lynn
The stated purpose of the trust is to provide for the creation and preservation of affordable housing for the benefit of low-to-moderate-income households in the City of Lynn. Additional updates will be posted on the NSR Advocacy Blog.
