Gloucester Community Development Director David Fields provided a timeline for the completion of a new comprehensive master plan. The development of the master plan will be in conjunction with the development of a plan for compliance with 3A.
There are four phases to developing and implementing the Master Plan:
Phase 1 (June 2023 to September 2023): Research current issues and review local plans
Phase 2 (October 2023 to October 2024): Set goals for the future of Gloucester
Phase 3 (November 2023 to July 2024): Develop strategies to achieve the goals
Phase 4: (August 2024 to December 2024): Finalize and adopt the comprehensive master plan
Gloucester will seek community input during each phase, with the first public forum planned for September 2023. Updates will be posted to the GA blog.
