The Haverhill City Council’s Administration and Finance Committee will convene on Monday, February 13th to discuss revisions to the proposed ADU ordinance. The changes include:
Clarifies that new ADUs are allowed only on single-family lots
Requires foundations for detached ADUs
Remove 70% affordability requirement (requirement applied only if the builder had received a loan from the city of Haverhill to build the ADU)
Requires annual proof of owner occupancy
After the hearing, the ordinance will be presented to the City Council for approval. Updates will be posted on the NSR blog.
