
Wenham ARPA Funding Allocations

Wenham is seeking resident feedback about how to invest approximately $1.4 million dollars in ARPA funding. The following projects (with estimated costs listed) are being considered:
- Iron Rail redevelopment study, appraisal, highest best use analysis ($50,000)
- New Iron Rail Septic System ($100,000)
- Replace lost rental income due to the pandemic for Iron Rail ($94,571)
- Staff salaries for additional labor by Planning Department during the pandemic ($45,000)
- West Wenham Park phase one infrastructure and accessibility ($170,500)
- Town Hall HVAC replacement ($500,000)
- Town Hall security upgrades ($30,000)
- Stormwater drainage and culvert repairs ($40,000)
- ADA ramps and sidewalk repairs ($60,000)
- Roadway paving projects ($75,000)
- Water system study ($100,000)
- Access Control System & Security Cameras for the library ($20,000)
- Replacement of the HVAC at the library ($79,920)
- Replacement of lost revenue for the Wenham Museum ($176,000)
- Consideration of Wenham Museum's 100th Anniversary Year ($74,000)
- Town Hall main entry door replacement ($15,000)
- Police Station administration area relocation ($50,000)
- Covid premium pay for the Wenham Police Department (TBD)
- Replacement of self-contained breathing apparatus fill station for Wenham Fire Department ($150,000)
- Covid premium pay for the Fire Department (TBD)
- Replacement of the jaws of life equipment for the Wenham Fire Department? ($47,000)
- Server replacements, network switching replacement and security & hardware upgrades ($300,000)
- Replace revenue loss due to economic impacts of excise tax generation, building permit fees, local option taxes, licensing and miscellaneous permitted fees ($300,000)
The total expenditure for all the proposed projects (not counting the TBD COVID premium pay for the fire and police department) is $2,476,991.
