Both Ipswich and Danvers have local requirements for a Sewer Connection Inspection on the sale of real property. Certificates of Compliance from these inspections are needed to close in both towns. Due to concerns relating to the Coronavirus both towns have either limited or suspended these inspections.
Danvers is scheduling sewer inspections on a case by case basis until April 6th. Certain types of construction that do not have sump pumps (ex. Slab foundation) maybe be able to receive a Certificate of Compliance without onsite inspection.
Ipswich has suspended all sewer inspections for at least 2 weeks (from 3/19).
