While real estate is categorized as an essential service, the vaccination priority does differ from the essential services list. At this time being a real estate agent is not a factor in determining your eligibility to receive the vaccine.
The distribution of the vaccine has been divided into three phases which are summarized below:
Phase 1: (December-February) Availability limited to certain professions including emergency services and health care workers.
Phase 2: (February-March) Availability limited to individuals aged 75+, aged 65+ with 2 or more comorbidities, certain education and foodservice professionals, and eventually individuals with 1 co-morbid condition.
Phase 3: (April) Expected to be available to the general public.
REALTORS® should determine their eligibility based on the other stated criteria such as age and health factors rather than their profession. You can visit the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Timeline website for more details.
NSR will continue to monitor eligibility and keep you up to date on any changes.
