In consultation with the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (MAPC), Nahant is developing a Housing Production Plan (HPP) which will be designed to set the vision and direction of housing policy in Nahant for the next five years. The goals cited by the town in developing Housing Production Plan include:
Address the housing needs of low- and moderate-income residents in the community
Influence the type, amount, and location of mixed-income affordable housing
Help Nahant reach the 10% subsidized housing inventory
Achieve safe harbor from unfriendly 40B projects through a certified HPP
Nahant is seeking community input which will be factored into the final draft of the HPP. Residents may take the survey HERE. The survey will remain open until Monday, July 31, 2023.
