Merrimack Valley Planning Commission to Update Strategies

The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission received grants from the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and Department of Housing and Community Development to update their strategies to reduce the burden of rent and homeownership for area residents.
Based out of Haverhill, the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission planning process involves gathering community input, analyzing current housing and demographic conditions, and making recommendations about how to create diverse housing opportunities.
Future public meetings, surveys, and additional types of public outreach seeking resident feedback about housing will be shared to the NSR Blog.
The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission serves the following 14 communities: Amesbury, Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury.
