The Marblehead Planning Board will hold a public forum on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 7:00 PM to discuss potentially updating the existing ADU zoning bylaws. Currently, most Marblehead residents are prohibited from adding ADU’s to single-family houses. Please see the meeting information below:
The Planning Board will decide whether to draft ADU zoning bylaw amendments based on public feedback, and research. In addition to the upcoming public forum, the Planning Board has released a survey seeking feedback from Marblehead residents about ADUs.
Any proposed zoning changes would be placed on the town meeting warrant. Residents can approve the changes with a simple majority at Marblehead's annual town meeting.
