Marblehead Approves ADU Ordinance

On day two of Marblehead’s 2023 Town Meeting, residents voted 500 to 130 to approve a proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit ordinance which would allow ADUs to be built by special permit in Marblehead. The associated Article 39 needed a 2/3 majority vote.

The NSR Government Affairs Committee voted to support the Marblehead ADU ordinance and actively advocated for this measure. Please see the related articles section below for more information.

The North Shore REALTORS® Government Affairs Committee voted to support the proposed Marblehead ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) ordinance which will be voted on at the Monday, May 1st 7:00 PM Town Meeting held at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School Auditorium.
