Manchester-by-the-Sea is holding a Fall Special Town Meeting on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 6:30 PM at the Memorial School Gymnasium. The official warrant has not yet been posted, but the articles that are currently going through the approval process include:
Require all zoning amendments to be approved at both Town Meeting and by ballot at a town election. Currently, only approval at Town Meeting is required.
Zoning Amendment to amend the use table in the zoning regulations to remove the provision that carriage houses may only be living quarters for an employee of the owner
Additional potential articles include updating the current parking bylaw requirement, authorization for a long-term lease for the Community Center building, supplement funding for Cybersecurity enhancements, and add additional parking spaces along beach street that were removed due to the creation of a cross walk.
