Local Cities Partner to Declare April Fair Housing Month

During April, NSR worked with our local cities to proclaim April as Fair Housing Month.

Mayor Bettencourt of Peabody, Mayor Romeo Theken of Gloucester, and the City Council of Salem all signed or moved proclamations declaring April as Fair Housing Month. NSR applauds these communities for prioritizing Fair Housing and making a statement with these important words.

Fair Housing is an essential part of the real estate industry. NSR recognizes and celebrates the value that diversity and inclusion brings to our thriving North Shore community. NSR also recognizes and acknowledges that even though it's been over 50 years since the Fair Housing Act passed, discrimination persists and we must remain steadfast in our duty to uphold the law and educate our members and the public.
