Ten Rockport residents have filed a lawsuit challenging the following state legislation:
Multi-family zoning requirements for MBTA communities (3A)
Denial of access to grants from Housing Choice Initiative, Local Capital Projects Fund, and MassWorks infrastructure program if not in compliance with (3A)
The lawsuit was filed on October 5, 2022, in Salem Superior Court and names the town of Rockport, the state Department of Housing and Community Development, and the Attorney General. Updates will be posted on the NSR Blog.
