Greenbelt, a nonprofit land trust, has purchased a 2.7 million conservation restriction on a 121-acre property in Middleton. The land is owned by the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn which has operated Camp Creighton on the property since the 1960s.
The conservation restriction restricts development in perpetuity. While the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn owns the property, Greenbelt and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation now co-hold the conservation restriction and are responsible for monitoring and enforcing the land’s conservation status.
