Swampscott Community Park

The Swampscott Reporter recently reported that a local group is looking to build a green and passive playground at Jackson Park with help from the Town of Swampscott, the Swampscott Rotary Club, Citibank and Aggregate Industries.

The Jackson Park Community Playground Project will be looking to build a community playground that will “provide a safe and enjoyable environment for neighborhood children and residents to foster imaginative play and physical fitness.”

Plans for the park include a half court basketball court, handball court, and play equipment for children. There are also plans for gardens, walkways, benches and picnic tables.
“With the opening of the new high school and senior center, the park will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood and the community as a whole. “
