Newburyport Riverfront Land

The Daily News is reporting that the City of Newburyport is considering increasing their purchase price to $1.35 million for land along Merrimack River, located at 115 Water Street, which it would use as part of a wastewater treatment plant upgrade.  The waterfront property is currently owned by American Marine and Boat Storage.

Newburyport took the land through a taking and has been negotiating the price for damages with the owners.
