Danversport Bridge

The Danvers Herald reported that the new bridge over the Waters River in Danvers may be named The Danversport Bridge by the state Legislature, which has complete jurisdiction over all bridges – including building, maintaining and naming them. This spring, the state began the $7.8 million project to rebuild the old bridge, which has been on the list of bridges needing replacement since 1996. It will be finished in 2011.
