NSAR's 2010 REALTOR® of the Year is David Kres

The North Shore Association of REALTORS® (NSAR) recognized David Kres as the 2010 NSAR REALTOR® of the Year at the Association's June 10th Membership Meeting at Tupper Manor in Beverly. The prestigious award was announced by 2009 recipient, Marilyn Jarvis, who explained that the purpose of the award is to recognize one outstanding member who has, in the past 18 months, made a significant contribution to the advancement of the real estate profession and the community at large.

At the local level, David is the Immediate-Past President of the North Shore Association of REALTORS® (NSAR), a member of the Finance, Government Affairs and currently chairs the Leadership Development & Nominating Committee and Member Value Work Group. David is the blogger for the NSAR Government Affairs Blog, and continues to be a driving force in enhancing the northshorerealtors.com site.

Kres is a member of the MAR Board of Directors, Chair of the MAR Forms Committee and member of the Young Professionals Network PAG. Active in the REALTOR® YPN movement, David was a presenter at the New England REALTORS® Conference. David is also a member of the RPAC Director's Club.

On the national level, he is a founding member of and active participant in events of the REALTOR® Young Professional Network. Kres was a featured REALTOR.com Blogs Team Respondent for the “Ask-a-REALTOR” consumer site.

A resident of Haverhill, Kres is a member of the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, and is an active participant in events for the American Red Cross and Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. A practicing attorney as well as real estate broker, Kres dedicates a percentage of his legal work to pro-bono causes.

Kres has earned his Certified Buyers Representative designation (CRB) and his Loss Mitigation Certification (LMC). In 2008 Kres was recognized by the REALTOR® Magazine as one of the Top “30 Under 30” REALTORS under the age of thirty in the country.

Kres’s credentials have been forwarded to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and he will be honored with recipients from other local associations in October, when one will be named state REALTOR® of the Year to be recognized at the National Realtors convention in November.
