Opportunity Knocks Homebuyer Fair to be Held in Two North Shore Locations

The North Shore Association of REALTORS® is once again teaming up with the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and MassHousing (and additional organizations) to present Opportunity Knocks: Homebuyer Fairs and Open Houses at two North Shore mall locations.

Homebuyer fairs will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at the North Shore Mall in Peabody and Saturday, May 9th at the Square One Mall in Saugus.

Broker-owners and designated REALTORS® who are members of MLS PIN can start opting-in now to ensure their offices’ affordable open house listings are included in the event.

What is "Opportunity Knocks"?

It’s a two-weekend homebuyer fair and open house event across the state that is being held to help stimulate the market and promote homes that are affordable to low and moderate-income first-time homebuyers eligible for MassHousing financing. 

At these fairs, prospective homebuyers will be able to meet REALTORS®, lenders, and homebuyer counselors and leave with a better understanding of the home buying process.  They will also have access to listings of affordable open houses across the state where the events are taking place on both weekends at www.masshomefair.com.
  

It’s a win-win situation for all - you get to show your eligible listings to dozens of prospective buyers, and the buyers become homeowners thanks to financing through MassHousing and some new partners.  There will also be additional resources available to help promote the event.

Limited Number of Tables Available for NSAR Member Firms to Participate

MassHousing is making ten tables at the May 2nd North Shore Mall event and five tables at the May 9th Square One Mall event available for NSAR member firms to participate. The event is planned to run from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

NSAR will be holding a random drawing for tables at the events

Since table space for both events is limited, companies given display space will be determined by a random drawing of interested NSAR member firms. To be included in the drawing, please submit your email of interest including location (Peabody or Saugus) to Susan Kline, CEO at skline@northshorerealtors.com by Thursday, April 9th.   

NSAR Needs Volunteers
